so much to catch up on...

i went a whole month and didnt blog once...holy cow!! i felt like october was the busiest month ive had all year. it seemed like everyweekend on our calender was marked. we were here there and everywhere.

of course there was halloween. alexis was tinkerbell and taylor was a bumble bee. we got to go to a party at alexis school on friday then out for some trick or treating on saturday which was fun. the girls got lots of good candy. stephen and i got to go to a halloween party on another night. stephen was the tapatio man (the guy on the hot sauce bottle) and i was just a bunny. i didnt get any pics tho cuz we were having too much fun at the party.

on october 25th was our 4 year wedding anniversary and we went out to lunch and enjoyed the little break from the girls.

my parents celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on october 19th so my sister and i gave them a surprise party. we had some friends and family over and had food and of course cake. we made them cut it and feed each other :)

my little sister stephanie turned 21!!! the girls and i went out to dinner with her and some friends and had some fun.

october was the end of fire season so stephen has been back to one schedule for the last couple weeks. which is nice having him home for more then 1 night a week. ive just been home doing the usual, but i have been being adventurous and trying to cook more which stephen likes. we have been on the hunt for a house but with all the choices out there we just cant find anything that fits us. hopefully we can get one soon.

alexis is still loving school and is bringing home lots of fun stuff. she now has friends that we see at the store and its so cute when they say hi and talk to each other....she is so grown up already. she has learned the letters a - i (she can now write then and identify them) no matter what shes doing......watching tv, reading a book, driving around in the car.....she points out letters to me.

taylor is getting bigger and bigger everyday and is dying to go to school just like sister.

thanksgiving is just around the corner and then its the home stretch till christmas and new years. i cant believe that 2009 is almost over. ive just barely started shopping but at least i already have an idea of the gifts ill be giving this year. hopefully we can get our family pics done soon and getting our cards out soon after. well thats about all for now.....heres some pics!!!!

the circle of life

this week the girls learned about the circle of life....their betta fish "fishy boy" died on monday. alexis was so upset and cried so hard. taylor just said bye fishy boy and she flushed him down. stephen tried to explain that pets and people die and that everything cant live for forever. he reminded her about her grandpa's dog dying but he got a new one and the old on is in doggie heaven. once she calmed down a bit she asked him if our dog woody would die and he said yes eventually woody will die but not for a while...she didnt like that answer and she ran to him and cried on woody telling him not to die. oh no!!! so yesterday we went to the pet store and they each picked out thier own new fishy boy. alexis chose a beautiful blue betta fish she named cinderella and taylor chose a white betta with purplish in the tail that she named nemo....i know shes an original :o)...... so now we have new fishy boys and hopefully they live for as long as our first fishy boy did!!

first day of school

alexis had her first day of school! we were up bright and early to get ready for the big day and she was so excited. when it was time for mommy, daddy and sister to leave she gave us all hugs and kisses and said "ok bye guys see ya later." then went off to go color with new friends. yes i cried....show me a mother who doesnt cry on the first day of school!!!! taylor even cried a little bit too. when it was time to pick her up she got mad cuz she wanted to stay longer. she has already brought home lots of "school work" and is looking forward to lots more. we now have a designated school wall where all her work gets hung up when she brings it home. cant wait to see what new things she learns this year!!!

the final countdown

it has started.....the final countdown till Alexis is in school. ive known that this day was coming for a long time, but it feel like it just sneaked up on me. this friday she has a meet-n-greet day, she gets to meet the other students in her class and the teachers are going to greet her and she gets to pick out her cubbie to use for the year. then on tuesday the 18th is her official first day of school. everyday she asks if she gets to go to school tomorrow so we started marking off days on the calender so she can atually see how many more days are left. poor little taylor keeps asking when she gets to go to school too, but when we tell her she has to wait she doenst like that answer. i cant wait for her to bring home stuff she did at school. im so nervous for her but i know shes super excited.

where did july go?

where to start......alexis turned 4!! on her actual birthday we went to chuck e cheese and she played lots of games and earned lots of tickets. then she had her gymnastics party a couple days later and that was lots of fun. all her friends were there and she got lots of good presents. she loved her tinkerbell cake but taylor put her fingers in it.


stephen has still been busy with work while me and the girls are still running around being crazy. last weekend we went to stephens family reunion at lake almanor which was nice cuz it was only 84 degrees there. i got to snuggle with my new nephew..... joaquin..... and the girls got to swim in the lake and we all ate lots of yummy food all day. august is just around the corner so that means school will be starting soon. alexis has a meet-n-greet day august 14th and then august 18th is her first official day of school....YIKES!!! she is super excited about that. i bought alexis her first pair of shoes for school, a pair of black mary janes (cuz they cant wear open toe shoes), and she keeps telling everyone about them. it seems like the months keep flying by and i dont know where they are going. but one thing i do know........i am so over the heat and im ready for it to be over, but i feel like summer has just begun!!
