so much to catch up on...

i went a whole month and didnt blog once...holy cow!! i felt like october was the busiest month ive had all year. it seemed like everyweekend on our calender was marked. we were here there and everywhere.

of course there was halloween. alexis was tinkerbell and taylor was a bumble bee. we got to go to a party at alexis school on friday then out for some trick or treating on saturday which was fun. the girls got lots of good candy. stephen and i got to go to a halloween party on another night. stephen was the tapatio man (the guy on the hot sauce bottle) and i was just a bunny. i didnt get any pics tho cuz we were having too much fun at the party.

on october 25th was our 4 year wedding anniversary and we went out to lunch and enjoyed the little break from the girls.

my parents celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on october 19th so my sister and i gave them a surprise party. we had some friends and family over and had food and of course cake. we made them cut it and feed each other :)

my little sister stephanie turned 21!!! the girls and i went out to dinner with her and some friends and had some fun.

october was the end of fire season so stephen has been back to one schedule for the last couple weeks. which is nice having him home for more then 1 night a week. ive just been home doing the usual, but i have been being adventurous and trying to cook more which stephen likes. we have been on the hunt for a house but with all the choices out there we just cant find anything that fits us. hopefully we can get one soon.

alexis is still loving school and is bringing home lots of fun stuff. she now has friends that we see at the store and its so cute when they say hi and talk to each other....she is so grown up already. she has learned the letters a - i (she can now write then and identify them) no matter what shes doing......watching tv, reading a book, driving around in the car.....she points out letters to me.

taylor is getting bigger and bigger everyday and is dying to go to school just like sister.

thanksgiving is just around the corner and then its the home stretch till christmas and new years. i cant believe that 2009 is almost over. ive just barely started shopping but at least i already have an idea of the gifts ill be giving this year. hopefully we can get our family pics done soon and getting our cards out soon after. well thats about all for now.....heres some pics!!!!

the circle of life

this week the girls learned about the circle of life....their betta fish "fishy boy" died on monday. alexis was so upset and cried so hard. taylor just said bye fishy boy and she flushed him down. stephen tried to explain that pets and people die and that everything cant live for forever. he reminded her about her grandpa's dog dying but he got a new one and the old on is in doggie heaven. once she calmed down a bit she asked him if our dog woody would die and he said yes eventually woody will die but not for a while...she didnt like that answer and she ran to him and cried on woody telling him not to die. oh no!!! so yesterday we went to the pet store and they each picked out thier own new fishy boy. alexis chose a beautiful blue betta fish she named cinderella and taylor chose a white betta with purplish in the tail that she named nemo....i know shes an original :o)...... so now we have new fishy boys and hopefully they live for as long as our first fishy boy did!!

first day of school

alexis had her first day of school! we were up bright and early to get ready for the big day and she was so excited. when it was time for mommy, daddy and sister to leave she gave us all hugs and kisses and said "ok bye guys see ya later." then went off to go color with new friends. yes i cried....show me a mother who doesnt cry on the first day of school!!!! taylor even cried a little bit too. when it was time to pick her up she got mad cuz she wanted to stay longer. she has already brought home lots of "school work" and is looking forward to lots more. we now have a designated school wall where all her work gets hung up when she brings it home. cant wait to see what new things she learns this year!!!

the final countdown

it has started.....the final countdown till Alexis is in school. ive known that this day was coming for a long time, but it feel like it just sneaked up on me. this friday she has a meet-n-greet day, she gets to meet the other students in her class and the teachers are going to greet her and she gets to pick out her cubbie to use for the year. then on tuesday the 18th is her official first day of school. everyday she asks if she gets to go to school tomorrow so we started marking off days on the calender so she can atually see how many more days are left. poor little taylor keeps asking when she gets to go to school too, but when we tell her she has to wait she doenst like that answer. i cant wait for her to bring home stuff she did at school. im so nervous for her but i know shes super excited.

where did july go?

where to start......alexis turned 4!! on her actual birthday we went to chuck e cheese and she played lots of games and earned lots of tickets. then she had her gymnastics party a couple days later and that was lots of fun. all her friends were there and she got lots of good presents. she loved her tinkerbell cake but taylor put her fingers in it.


stephen has still been busy with work while me and the girls are still running around being crazy. last weekend we went to stephens family reunion at lake almanor which was nice cuz it was only 84 degrees there. i got to snuggle with my new nephew..... joaquin..... and the girls got to swim in the lake and we all ate lots of yummy food all day. august is just around the corner so that means school will be starting soon. alexis has a meet-n-greet day august 14th and then august 18th is her first official day of school....YIKES!!! she is super excited about that. i bought alexis her first pair of shoes for school, a pair of black mary janes (cuz they cant wear open toe shoes), and she keeps telling everyone about them. it seems like the months keep flying by and i dont know where they are going. but one thing i do know........i am so over the heat and im ready for it to be over, but i feel like summer has just begun!!

since i havent blogged in a while i thought it would be time for an update. lets see june was very busy. the girls took swim classes. taylor loved the water and was all over the place which surprised me, but she wanted to play more than learn to swim which didnt surprise me. alexis jumped off the diving board 2 days in a row, but when her head went under the water she said they let her drown and wouldnt do it again. however she now holds her breath and goes under the water so thats great!! we went to the fair and the girls rode every ride 2 times. taylor won 4 goldfish and alexis won 2 goldfish all by themselves and they lasted a week. we had corn dogs and ice cream and had lots of fun. we have been trying to go out and do more stuff together since stephen only get a couple days off a month now and that because stephen is back to work at the fire hall, but he loves being back. he's hoping he gets some action from a good fire this year like he did last year. im hoping it far away from here and its just an open field with nothing but grass to burn. im still busy with cakes and chasing after the girls. however i did find the time to read the twilight series 2 times!!! i can officially say im addicted to the series. its just a good story!! im also an auntie again. my brother and sister-in-law welcomed baby #3 the begining of the month...little louie jaquin. hes really cute and reminds of alexis when she was a baby. really little with long scrawny legs. we are getting ready for lexi's 4th birthday and then in august she starts school, i cant believe it. so goodbye june and hello july!!!

my awsome idea

my most awsome idea ever.......buy the old kfc in anderson by the freeway onramp and turn it into the most awesome bakery slash drive thru. you can come through and get cupcakes with milk or place an order for a cake.....how awesome would that be!!! make the inside super cute and to make it even better im gonna steal the idea from mr. pickles and get a dancing cupcake out front.

fishing

wednesday was a great day!! we got up really early packed the truck with fishing supplies stuffed an ice chest with picnic stuff and set off for some family time. the girls were so excited and could not get out of the truck fast enough when we got there. they each had their own princess fishing poles ready to go with hook and bait and were itching to cast them out into the water. alexis was doing awesome and was really throwing her line way out there. taylor was really happy because it was her first time time to actually fish. she has always been to small but not this time. she didnt get it out there as good as alexis but she tried so hard. after a while they lost interest but had fun playing in the dirt and picking flowers. they got to see a little otter swimming around and it went right in front of us, and they also saw a momma duck with 6 little ducklings. one little duck even swam near us and came up onto the shore for a quick minute. i had the first catch of the day but it was just a little guy so we had to throw him back but stephen got 2. it was so much fun to get out of town for a day and spend some time with stephen and my little girls.

adventures of a 2 year old

taylor has always been a little more daring than alexis is. she climbs and hangs on everything and has almost no fear. im always finding her on the counter or climbing up bookcases. i think its her red hair!!! so today i came into the room and found her sitting on the floor with a chair. when i asked her what she was doing she just looked at me and calmly said "mom im stuck." i tried a couple of times to pull and twist the chair but everytime she said it hurt her ears. i slathered her face and ears and the chair with butter and oil but still she would not come out. alexis was such a good sister too. she sat next to taylor and held her hand and told her "dont worry sister mommy will unstick you." after a couple minutes of thinking and lots of giggling (i know thats not nice but i couldnt help it) i tried to move her from the living room to the kitchen, and when she stood up the chair just slipped down her body. why i didnt think of that first i dont know. im just glad i didnt have to cut the chair to get it off her neck or cut her neck to get back that chair (just kidding!!)

a first in 8 years!!!

it has happened!!! after being with stephen for 8 years we have had a first. our first time staying in a hotel together!! ok i know it sound silly, but it was exciting for me. plus how many people do you know that have been together for this long and have never really gone anywhere. we dont really go away together often or even at all. or when we do it camping, or a day trip for fishing or we go somewhere with his mom---not my idea of the best time. anyways, we went to sacramento for my neice and nephews birthday party and easter, and since my brother in law had no room at his house we stayed in a hotel nearby. it wasnt special or romantic, we did have the kids, but it was still nice and sorta relaxing to not be at home and just hang out. the girls had fun too.

since im just sittin here watching the cars pass by i thought id let ya know what ive been up to.nothing that exciting has happened lately. the only good thing is that it is april and that means its my birthday month!!! april 25th is the official day. i already got a present too. my mom and dad got me an airbrush kit that ive wanted for my cakes for a really long time. ive started playing around with it and its a lot harder than i thought it was gonna be. it will take a lot of practice to get good at it. easter weekend we are going to sacramento for my neice and nephew's 2nd birthday party. there is gonna be a petting zoo so the girls are excited about that. im had a yard sale this weekend it i sold more stuff then i thought i was going to. its all the clothes that the girls have grown out of. i was just gonna give it all the charity but stephen said try a yard sale first. im glad he did cuz i got a little more pocket change now!!

saturday march 21st was stephens birthday. he doesnt really like cake but he will eat mine. when i asked what he wanted he said "plain white cake and with no filling" and he wouldnt tell me what he wanted it to look like. after days of bugging him i just made him something i knew he would like.....and he loved it. at his birthday party we had that night all his friends were taking pics and said that it was awesome!!!

i am happy to report that Taylor is officially off the binky!!!! alexis was easy to break, she knew that she could only have it when she was going to sleep so i just stopped giving it to her one day. she never asked for it and was fine not having it. however taylor was not the same. she always wanted it and would throw a fit when she couldnt have it. then last saturday i didnt give it to her but she was so tired she just went to sleep without it, but she woke up in the middle of the night and cried till i gave it to her. when she woke up in the morning i had hid it from her and she never asked for it. so that night i didnt give it to her again and she was kinda whiny but went without it, then the next night, then the next, then the next. it has been over a week and she hasnt had it once. she occasionally asks for it but i tell her no and shes fine. next big obstacle to face is potty training!!!!

i want my baby back

Alexis is officially registered for school next year. :o( i have been dreading this day since the day she was born, but its only half days a couple days a week so its not too bad. she will be going to Brush Street Schoolhouse in Cottonwood --its across the street from the fire dept. we have friends and her son goes there and they are always saying how great it is, and it is owned and operated by a couple wives whose husbands are fire fighters and police men that stephen knows. we went last week to look around but the kids were sleeping so we only got to see the outside and got information then yesterday when we took it back we got see the classroom. its big with lots of toys and books. the teachers told us about what they do and how they teach ( they were all teachers before opening the preschool too) Alexis was really excited, until she found out that taylor cant go with her, but she will make friends fast. this summer they have an open house event for new students to come meet each other and the kids get to pick out their cubbies and get pictures taken so that should be exciting. i cant believe my little lexi bean is almost 4!!!

need a cake??

i love to decorate cake and im constantly looking for new ideas. which means that i have found tons of cakes that i would love to make and noone to make them for. stephen is always telling me to advertise or do something to get my name out there. he thinks im wasting a good talent by only doing cakes for friends so far. i personally dont think im good enough to start doing cakes for just anybody. my friends have all told me "just do something i dont care" and they have all loved what ive done. but i think i need more practice. so until then ill have lots of ideas that will be ready and waiting to be made.

Taylor is 2!!!

Today..February 27..is my little Taylor's 2nd birthday. i cant believe its already been 2 years since i had her, it feels like it was last week.

she is getting so big too fast. alexis has been the best big sister and they love to play together. taylor is spitting out tons of new words everyday and i know soon enough we wont be able to stop her from talking. she is funny and has the best personality and no matter what can always make me laugh and smile. this morning i made her a pancake breakfast and stephen stopped on his way home from work and brought her home a big balloon. she was so excited. i cant wait till her birthday party......its at a gymnastics center where all the kids can run, jump, play, and scream. its a my little pony themed party--she loves my little pony!!Happy Birthday Taylor Marie!!!!

this is me

since this is my first blog i thought i would let you know some stuff about me....
1. i used to say i never wanted kids but now that i have my girls i dont know what i would do without them

2.so far this year i have read 10 books and im halfway thru #11....i love to read.

3. stephen is the only boy ive ever loved.

4. i want to own a bakery and call it sweet treats. i already have a logo and know how i want everything to look.

5. i hate being cold but love winter time because i get to wear scarves and my awesome jacket

6. i have one bestie and a small handfull of close friends and i like it that way

7. ive known a girl named abby since i was 3 and i havent talked to her in 2 years but think about her almost everyday

8. i hate cleaning the kitchen and folding laundry

9. i am a control freak

10. some people bug me so bad and they dont even have to talk to me

11. i hate math and have never been good at it but one of my proudest moments of high school was my senior year. in algebra 2 there were 8 seniors the first day of class and i was the only one to finish the class and ended the year with a B!!

12. i watch the food network all the time but im to scared to cook cuz i think im bad at it

13.i want to buy a crappy house and fix it up with my dad. i know it would be lots of hard work but i know it would look awesome when we are done.

14. stephen and i have been together 8 years but have never "gone away" or stayed in a hotel together

15. i hate the rain but love the way it smells

18. im addicted to shopping and chocolate. i also have withdrawls if i dont get them.

21. i dont drink often because i hate the way it makes you feel but i can never turn down a vodka cranberry...tequilla sunrise...or a malibu bay breeze.
